1. Post your entry on this blog, telling me specifically why you should be chosen to win the scholarship. Please include where you are at right now with your business (or if you don’t have one yet and want one), how spirituality plays into your work and business message, your 12-month business goal, and how you will use the transformation you experience at Evolve to help you reach your goal. Oh – and be sure to include your email address and phone so we can contact you privately, ok? Please limit your entry to no more than 900 words.
2. Entries will be accepted up through midnight on Monday, November 2 ONLY.
3. After reviewing all entries received, I will select the one that most resonates with me spiritually and touches my heart, and which demonstrates the greatest commitment to moving forward with your Big Vision.
The winner will be selected and notified no later than Thursday, November 5, 2009.

Dear Marcia: I am a life and career coach, and I would love to go to Phoenix for this program Evolve, but I am unemployed right now and working on getting my coaching back on track. I live in Miami, but I have a sister that lives in Phoenix, if get the plane ticket to go it would be great. I am going through some rough times now, losing my house, etc., but I know I will pull out and new and better opportunities will come. See you on November 12

Thank you for the contest opportunity. Evolve sounds like the perfect place for me to be. I have been in therapy for 11.5 years working on healing from emotional, physical & sexual abuse at the hands of my father & his mother, my grandmother & my mother as an enabler. In July ’09 I participated in the BWWP with the Missing Thread. At the BWWP I found my passion is to begin sharing & speaking about the effects of abuse on women & men’s lives.
I should be chosen to win the scholarship because I am at a crossroad with my life. Winning the scholarship would eliminate some financial pressure & allow me to keep more focus on my message.
I have begun writing my story & am looking for a network of people to support me in my journey. I know I have a powerful message & a story that needs to be told. For most of my adult life I have struggled with my spirituality. The more healing I do, I see the role spirituality has on my healing & message. I need to reconnect with my spirituality.
My 12-month business goal is to get my book published & start sharing my story though speaking at locally, nationally, & maybe even internationally events. I also have a goal to establish an organization to support victims on their path to recovery. I see Evolve taking me to the next step of my purpose & healing. Along with getting my book published & in the market, I need support with aligning my relationship with money. I also want to work on moving onto the next “lily pad”. I was touched by Amethyst Wyldfyre remark about how there is always a safety net under me & I will “never be left out to dry because that is not the way love works”. I am ready for this event. * The reason I should be chosen to win the scholarship: I create cultural support for those who live with heightened awareness, perception and sensitivity. According to Dr. Elaine Aron, 20% of the population has highly sensitive nervous systems. I am part of that population, and I empower other Sensitives to leverage their neurological advantages in noble ways. Sensitives are the cat whiskers and antennae of society. We need their prophetic foresight and tender ways to evolve to our next planetary stage.
* Where I am right now with my business: For the past year I have been establishing thought leadership via my website at http://www.joyful-work-for-sensitive-people.com, and building community via my MeetUp Group at http://www.meetup.com/Highly-Sensitive-Persons-Chicago.
* How spirituality plays into my work and business message: I believe our heart is God’s Womb, filled with roars and sparkles and blooms of love that are incubated in heaven, and manifested in each of us. Spirituality infuses all of my spoken (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6LkAeA9Z8c) and written (http://lifeblazing.com) work. My highest aspiration is simply to be a better lover — of myself, my Creator, my Earth-family and the planet we all share. To me, there is no higher personal or professional purpose than this. Of course, I frequently trip while reaching for my high ideals. Then I giggle, or cry, and get back up.
I believe we are intended for love and maturity. And I believe we are perfected by love and maturity.
Our appearances and personalities and histories are wondrously unique. But on a deeper level, we are far more like the blended ocean, than the individual stones upon its shore. I prefer residence at this deeper level.
One of the most meaningful gifts we can offer another person is our full presence. Our total attention. Actually believing that, at least for a portion of time, the only thing that matters in the whole world is what the other person has to say. This kind of Deep Politeness extends an immeasurable gesture of care. It says, “You, and the matters of your heart, are of enormous value. Speak, and know that I cherish each word.” I know every conversation can’t happen at this depth. But we splendid homo sapiens have the capacity to relate to each other in far richer, and more authentic, ways than we usually do. I hope to create, and be a part of, relationships that aren’t dependent upon catastrophes and horrors to reach the real stuff of being close.
I once worked as a resident hospice (end-of-life) chaplain at a large medical center. It was my ‘job’ to offer compassionate presence and comfort to dying patients, and those who loved them. A typical morning may include a fetal demise, a life-support withdrawal and a fatal cardiac arrest… all before lunch. Obviously, the frequency and acuity of being so close to so much death and loss affected me deeply. It made me give serious consideration to my theology, and my cosmology. All of my beliefs were challenged, and many of them changed. Expanded, really.
Now, I can’t possibly view a day of life as merely an increment of twenty-four hours. I’ll tell you what a day is: A day is Eternity’s seed, and we are its Gardeners.
I’ll tell you one of the most important, unforgettable things I’ve ever heard… A terminal patient was trying to comfort his family and visitors (ironic, huh?), and he told them: “Don’t you dare cry for me. There are things worse than dying. Like living half-way!” Did you get that? There are things worse than dying. We usually equate death as the very worst thing that could possibly happen to us. But this man, and many, many others who were on the brink of death, warned that death is NOT the worst thing that can happen in life. Living half-way is.
This kind of knowledge forces us to ask ourselves:
“Am I living half-way?… Am I allowing my potency, or artistry, or genius, or brilliant whatever to sleep…untapped? What in the world am I waiting for? The kids to go to college? Retirement? Financial security? Perfectionistic preparation? Someone else to validate my passion or competency?”
Each of those questions is really just an excuse.
I believe it is deferred destinies that cause most of the depression, frustration and emptiness that fills our nation. Americans hold the greatest amount of financial wealth and personal freedom of any nation in the entire world, but we can’t seem to maintain basic levels of contentment for very long. We don’t have to wait for a terminal diagnosis, or some other disaster, to give us permission to pursue and create the life we know we want to live.
* My 12-month business goal: To create a six-figure income based on my speaking and writing, and to create that income vibrantly, joyfully and gracefully.

Why should I be chosen to win the scholarship?
1- Living far away, flight ticket fare is higher than the course itself
2- In third world countries fees we charge are smaller to get clients
3- It is high season so unable to use miles for flight ticket exchange
Where am I at right now with my business?
I began to walk this path January 2008.
I am building a practice, introducing a new offer and services in a market in which people are very skeptic to personal self grow offers involving paying fees higher than what they call “their normal standards”.
I do Energy Healing and Coaching: Body Mind Soul integration work at all levels of the SELF.
I assume this challenge as the Mission of my life and I consider the possibility to be able to inspire others so that they meet the power they have inside themselves is something fabulous.
I am a Chemical Engineer, Science Teacher, and Energy Kinesiology: TFH, PKP, EFT, and NLP.
How spirituality plays into my work and business message,
Spirituality helps us understand our life purpose. This amazing ingredient is the lens to visualize how the forces of the universe, of which we are part, work every minute of our life.
We only have to trust the Universe and believe each of us is exactly where he has to be, now.
12-month business goal?
I pretend to be a very successful practitioner and grow my practice working in different levels and recognize I may need some help for this to be done quicker:
1- One to one sessions: Minimum 500 sessions/year Average 1 hour each
2- Group sessions: Seminars and workshops in the country I live and other
countries, covering different subjects related to self growth
Minimum twice a month each group and as a way of beginning
personal self growth work.
3- Lecturer in different countries: Inspirational work to lead as a Coach and a
Healer, people to their self growth. Important
to mention not all the human beings are going through the same path so I will
have to address differently to each group to achieve the purpose and goal of
each group. This may be considerer every 2 to 3 months in a different country
4- Audio CD work: I am already working in my first Audio CD and hope to continue
bringing this information out. I work alone in my computer
writing all the audio I record.
5- Writing: I am finishing my first book, and will continue writing. As well I write
in my own computer
My intention is to be an inspiration to others for their “wake up” to a marvelous trip to encounter the real purpose of life for their highest good.
How will I use the transformation I will experience at Evolve to help me reach my goal?
If I win, I will be able to participate in the workshop.
I will meet with people that will share with me tools I may not have discovered yet that may be helpful to achieve my goal quicker and finish struggling as I many times come to be.
I am alone here and even though in a certain way it is OK in another way many times I meditate to ask the universe for strength to achieve the mission I decided to assume myself.
As well a great opportunity to visit a new place in which I have never been before Phoenix, Arizona that I hope as you said “will help me evolve” to be able to inspire “more people in need to find their own ways of evolution.”
